My VFX Works

My name is Alex Antolis. I graduated from Toronto Film School in July 2021 to June 2023. I study a broad range of VFX such as Compositing, 3D Modeling, FX (HDA, Smokes, Fire), Texture Painting, and Animation. My main area of focus is as a Compositor. What sets me apart from other Visual Effects artists would be my understanding of multiple VFX software.

After completion from Toronto Film School I studied how to create cinematics in Unreal Engine 5 utilizing the resources given from Boundless Entertainment. The class gave me insight in how to create a virtual set by applying light sources, virtual cameras, foliage, sculpting brushes, editing material and textures. For the cinematic aspect, I was taught how to do green screen replacement in the virtual set of Unreal Engine as well as emphasizing on the importance of lighting.

In November 2023 to January 2024, I focused and honed my skills in compositing through RebelWay's Advanced Compositing course. I refined my skills in green screen replacement, camera tracking, planar and lidar projections, integrating 2d and 3d elements, object paint outs.

I have also taught myself photography and videography as well. I have always taken interest in photography since a young age and it keeps growing from there. as I got a better understanding in photography I tried to learn more about how to film and use video editing software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Davinci Resolve, and Unreal Engine.

This compositing demo reel is a testament to my passion for this craft. I've always been fascinated by the art of combining elements to create a seamless visually stunning final product. My studies at Toronto Film School, Boundless Entertainment, and Rebel Way have allowed me to hone my skills and develop a deep understanding of the technical aspects of compositing. I'm excited to continue exploring this field and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
